About US

The Workforce Development Global Alliance (WDGA) promotes economic self-sufficiency through employment opportunities for tomorrow’s workforce, our youth. Global corporate alliances and awareness provide for education, exposure, empowerment, experience and employment opportunities.

We commit to bridging Education and Technology
housed within WDGA’s Leadership Development Institute:
  • Employer sponsorships and scholarships for WDGA students.
  • Job Shadow days, paid internships and co-operative education arrangements at the employer worksite for students, including children with disABILITIES.
  • Classroom in the workplace (parent/child/family) workshops.
  • Financial Literacy and Physical Fitness/Environmental Health programs.
  • Keys to Work (competency, personality and temperament) assessments for career-pathing competencies and tracking.
  • Parent and Community enrichment and engagement.
  • eMentoring and Distance Learning programs.

There is a new fire burning in the hearts and minds of children in Kenya. WDGA’s pilot program inducted 250 charter students into WDGA in Kenya in April 2007 and we are postured for Nakuru Kenya’s 1st Leadership Development Institute (August 2009 initial launch). WDGA plans to expand in the future to other target areas of East & South Africa.

Metrine Shinduka:

Vision of Hope

While walking through the community in Nakuru to seek out students who were not attending class, Niecy Dennis (WDGA’s founder) came upon Metrine and asked why she was not in school. Metrine’s agonizing reply: “why should I go to school if I am only going to return back here.” The “here” was a mud hut of poverty and disappointment. From the plight of this student, the vision for WDGA was born.

Metrine’s aspiration now is to become a lawyer.
