The WDGA is honored to hear from individuals and groups who inspire us to move forward and who support our endeavors along the way. Their words are a tribute to the WDGA program and its participants. Their words will always serve as a reminder of who we are, where we’ve been, and what we choose to become.
"It has been my delight to witness and support the mission of Workforce Development Global Alliance (WDGA). What’s most important is that in 2009 and 2010, WDGA made Kenya history by hosting Peace Summits at the ASK Showground. This is the location where the individual displaced persons (IDPs) were housed during the 2008 post-election crisis. I was privileged to participate in inducting over 700 WDGA Peace Ambassadors. I participated in the expansion of WDGA’s 2STEPS2WORK program with the induction of seven youth leaders. The leaders have been trained and certified to help lead civic engagement and youth empowerment for WDGA within their assigned communities.
It is my belief that WDGA’s program aligns with Kenya’s YES YOUTH CAN initiative – bringing hope and youth-based outcomes for Kenya’s bright future. Congratulations to WDGA, its partners and the participating youths for your accomplishments and commitment to this admirable mission."
“The WDGA initiative of introducing local educators in Nakuru and its environment has impacted greatly on the children who have realized their real potential in this program.”
"I must admit that when my wife Libby and I looked at the complexity and the enormity of the effort that our friend, Niecy Dennis, has undertaken in Kenya under the flag of Workforce Development Global Alliance, we wondered if it were all really possible. We had -- and continue to have -- no doubt whatsoever about the value of the enterprise in Kenya. The drive to promote conflict resolution via Peace Ambassadors while placing people into meaningful, profitable employment is more than worth all the energy that is going into it. All that I have seen in my life validates the importance of what the 2STEPS2WORK programs are doing. The record so far is truly impressive. Serving over 700 youth in Kenya, WDGA is on the path to increasing youth life skills and, in the process, magnifying their employability.
For whatever value it may have, I will actively continue to support WDGA in whatever role is most useful. I continue to believe that WDGA's approach is the best way I know to tackle problems in Kenya. I have every confidence that you will be successful in what you are undertaking, and that you will proceed directly into the ePal pilot program – targeted for 2013. I am sure you will reach success at the end of the path."
